Prepare your documents for a useful second opinion

A focused question and complete paperwork make a review more useful.

Start with one decision

State what you are being asked to approve, the decision deadline, and the question you need answered.

Gather the actual documents

Provide dated proposals, relevant contract pages, existing clarifications, and authorized service-record excerpts. Identify missing attachments.

Keep personal information out

Remove tenant names, access codes, financial-account information, and unrelated correspondence. Do not access restricted spaces or equipment to collect material.

Respect urgent issues

Do not wait for a document review if there is an outage, safety concern, or entrapment. Contact your elevator service provider.

This is general purchasing education. It does not determine equipment condition or replace site assessment, legal advice, or regulatory requirements.
