Clear scope.
Before we start.
Who supplies the service
Elevator Decision Desk is a prelaunch project led by Peter Weir. The new legal company is not yet confirmed.
Acceptance and scope
An enquiry alone creates no paid engagement. We screen the request, confirm the scope and jurisdiction, and invite agreement and payment only for accepted work. Any separately agreed written scope is recorded in the case.
Decision Review: C$595 plus applicable taxes for one decision, up to three proposals and 30 pages, a concise written brief, a 20-minute explanation call, and one clarification round requested within seven days of delivery.
Portfolio Desk: C$1,495 per month plus applicable taxes for up to 20 assets, two routine 10-page review requests per billing month, one 30-minute scheduled call, and a monthly summary from submitted records. Unused requests do not roll over. Complex projects, site work, additional pages, and additional assets require a separate written scope.
What the review establishes
We review supplied documents to explain commercial scope, stated evidence, exclusions, and questions. We do not establish equipment condition from paperwork alone. The service is not an inspection, engineering certification, legal opinion, regulatory determination, emergency response, or authorization to operate equipment or defer required work. We identify when another assessment or professional is needed.
Your documents
You must have authority to share the submitted material and to purchase the service. Provide complete and accurate information, identify missing attachments, and remove unrelated personal information and access codes. Do not enter restricted spaces or operate equipment to gather information for us.
Timing and communication
Routine reviews target three business days after acceptance, verified payment, and receipt of sufficient information. We confirm timing if the case needs clarification. Check your private case for updates. Email notifications are not currently enabled. This is not an emergency channel.
Payment and cancellation
The approved price and applicable taxes are shown at checkout before payment. Decision Reviews are charged once. Portfolio subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled through the billing portal before the next renewal. Cancellation stops future renewals; service remains available through the paid period unless otherwise agreed.
If we decline or cannot perform an accepted review, we refund the affected undelivered service. You may cancel a Decision Review before work begins for a full refund. If work has begun, we explain the completed work and agree any applicable refund before processing it. No savings are guaranteed. These terms do not remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Affiliation and conflicts
Peter Weir co-owns Local Elevator in Winnipeg. We decline reviews of Local Elevator's own work and screen other requests for conflicts. We receive no contractor referral commissions and do not claim to be unaffiliated with the elevator contracting industry.
Records and privacy
We record the accepted terms version, seller, scope, and time of agreement in your case. Our privacy notice explains handling of account details, case records, and documents.
